What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When you send us an email through the form on the Contact Us page we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you make a purchase through the web site, we collect details of your purchase and contact details that you enter such as name, billing and shipping address, email and phone number. This information is needed to process your order, and to comply with record keeping legislation. We also capture your IP address, both to enhance security and to determine which country you are ordering from, as we need two sources of information of the country you are in to comply with VAT legislation.
We record your selected means of payment, but we do not see your card details – these are sent over an encrypted link to our payment processing partners, Braintree (a subsidiary of PayPal).
The website may collect data about you, such as how you use the site, to help us improve the content and usability of the site. Some of the analytics uses 3rd party tools (e.g. Google and Facebook); they may track your interaction with the site and other web sites if you have an account and are logged in to their services.
Who we share your data with
Your data is not shared with any 3rd party, except for sending payment details and purchase totals to Braintree, our payment processing partner.
How long we retain your data
We retain data for the shortest time to meet our data processing needs and legal requirements.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
